At JSC “Kryvbass Iron Ore Plant,” an environmental policy has been implemented, aimed at complying with all legislative and regulatory requirements in the field of ecology, continuously improving the environmental management system by setting environmental goals, programs, and tasks. This allows the company to manage the environmental aspects of its activities and minimize their impact on the environment. Adherence to the principles of the environmental policy is mandatory for all plant employees, regardless of their duties and positions.
The plant has been issued a certificate for its environmental management system by the certification body of the State Enterprise “KRYVBASSTANDARTMETROLOGY” in accordance with the requirements of DSTU ISO 14001:2015.
In compliance with the special permits for subsoil use for the “Ternivska,” “Kozatska,” “Pokrovska,” and “Kryvorizka” mines, and the Law of Ukraine “On Environmental Impact Assessment,” the plant has received Environmental Impact Assessment Conclusions for its planned activities: “Continuation of the extraction of rich iron ores at the fields of the ‘Ternivska,’ ‘Kozatska,’ ‘Pokrovska,’ and ‘Kryvorizka’ mines.”
